SEPTEMBER SERENADE

SEPTEMBER SERENADE
(Tune: Guess what?)

The plebes are young and frisky and they need a guiding hand
To set them on the proper path to rank and high command,
A gentle, friendly nudge or two to help them understand,
It's "MISTER, COME AROUND!"

Chorus: Mister Dumbsquat, come around!
We'll put your feet upon the ground,
You'll learn to tremble at the sound
Of "Mister, come around!"

We'll quiz you on the Reef Points and the Navy's regs and rates,
You'll rattle off the rules of rank for ladders, doors and gates,
And how to pantomime a meal with nothing on your plates,
From "Mister, come around!" Chorus:

We'll make your life a misery from dawn to ten p.m.,
You'll spout the Bells and Lifeboat Drill, each one a perfect gem,
So next year, when new plebes arrive, you'll do it unto them,
With "Mister, come around!" Chorus:

RR
