Wreaths Across America

Dear Capt Henson,

I am the Wreaths Across America Coordinator for the U.S. Naval Academy Cemetery.  You are probably familiar with the wreath laying done for Arlington National Cemetery during the Christmas Holidays. This year my husband's Class, USNA Class of '81, is sponsoring Wreaths Across America for the United States Naval Academy Cemetery.

On December 15th, we would like to place a wreath on each gravesite.  I'm writing to all class secretaries and asking them to put the word out to their class about this effort to honor those Naval Academy alums, classmates, and family members resting at the Naval Academy Cemetery.

The wreaths are paid completely by donations.  A donation of $15 is required for each wreath. The wreaths are high quality, handmade in America of live balsam with a hand-tied bow.

There are two ways to order a wreath.

1. Telephone Wreaths Across America directly toll-free - 1-877-385-9504. Tell them you want the wreath delivered to United States Naval Academy Cemetery, Annapolis, Maryland.  Tell them to use Location lD: MDUSNA.  Use your credit card.

2. Order from the Wreaths Across America website: www.wreathsacrossamerica.org  Click on the "Store" icon and then select "Sponsor a Wreath."  Choose the number of wreaths you would like to sponsor and click on that icon.  You can choose to download an order form to pay by check or the easiest way is to select the state and location (Maryland and United States Naval Academy Cemetery Annapolis/MDUSNA) and pay by credit card.  If you choose to pay by check, do not forget to use MDUSNA in the "Location ID #" line.

There are 2,000 grave markers at the Naval Academy Cemetery and we would like to lay a wreath on each and every one.  The donation must be processed by Wreaths Across America by the end of November. The wreaths will be delivered to the Naval Academy and placed on the headstones by volunteers on Saturday, Dec. 15.

Thank you for your consideration and if I can answer any questions please don't hesitate to call or write.

Sincerely,
Carol Turman
