Death of a Classmate - Austin Hardy

Son of Austin K. and Muriel Hardy, born in Albany, NY on March 18, 1930 quietly passed away on January 18, 2013 in Lantana, Florida. Austin graduated from Castleton High School, attended the Albany Academy and the United States Naval Academy. He retired as a manager from Southern Bell. Austin enjoyed photography and extensive travel throughout the U.S. , especially Alaska. He had a love for dogs, especially Pointers, and was involved in dog showing, field competitions, and breeding. Austin was an avid competition shooter and sportsman. He was deeply involved in genealogy and was a member of the S.A.R. Austin was predeceased by his wife Rita and sister Jean Perrey. He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Krokey, sisters Pauline Lubin and Francis Koryn, nieces Pat Talbot, Judith Norish, Eileen Puccio, nephews Jack and Robert Koryn and William Lubin, granddaughters Katharyn and Sarah Krokey, and cherished friends Myers Jadatz and David Caudill. Austin was a wonderful person who will be missed dearly. In lieu of flowers, Austin requested friends and loved ones make an offering of remembrance to their own church or a charitable organization of their choosing. Calling hours will be At All County?s Del Lago Chapel, 131 S Lakeside Dr., Lake Worth, FL at 3-5 PM on Sunday, January 20. A funeral service will held at St. Matthew Church, 6090 Hypoluxo Blvd., Lake Worth at 11 AM on Monday, January 21.
