2013 NAVY FOOTBALL  NO 4         Observations from an Old Poolie

October 5, 2013. Navy 28 Air Force 10..  Federal government closed, but game on! Sold-out crowd and a beautiful day in Annapolis. It was an exciting game with Air Force taking the lead 3-0 in the first quarter. Navy woke up in the 2nd to end the half 10-3 over AF.  In 3rd quarter, QB Reynolds led a 75 yd drive to lead 14-3.. Later, also in the 3rd Q Navy scored again, 21-10. With 4 minutes left in the game, Old Mil graduate Demond Brown took a pitch out, raced around the right side for a 38 yd  TD, Navy 28 Air force 10.

QB Reynolds led the Midshipmen to 126 yards rushing on 28 carries and 8 out of 14 for 67 yards in the air (1 interception).

Army lost to Boston College, 27-48.

Next week Navy goes to Durham, NC to take on the Duke Blue Devils.

Duke beat NC Central 45-0, Memphis 28-14, lost to Ga Tech 14-38, lost to Pitt 58-59, lost to Troy 34-37, pairing 3-2.
