Death of a Classmate, Timothy C. Taylor


Timothy C. Taylor, 76, of Myrtle Trace died Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Conway Medical Center.


Mr. Taylor was born in Los Angeles, California, the son of Joseph D. Taylor and Carol Taylor Munson, and the stepson of Floyd H. Munson, all deceased. He was a retired engineer from the Aluminum Company of America (now Alcoa, Inc.).Mr. Taylor attended Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich. and was a 1954 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He was a Navy veteran, both enlisted and commissioned, and a life member of the Naval Academy Alumni Association. In retirement he had been an active volunteer at Coastal Carolina University, teaching computer courses and managing part of the University's web site. He had also managed the Myrtle Trace Homeowners Association accounts receivable and earlier was active as secretary of the Myrtle Trace bowling league.


Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Jeannine H. Lighter of Hagerstown, Md., now of Conway; a son, Bradley Taylor and wife, Jodi, of Norman, Okla.; a daughter, Cynthia Taylor of Rutherfordton, N.C.; and three grandchildren, Michael Taylor and Jennifer Taylor, both of Norman, Okla. and Kurt Wilson of Rutherfordton, N.C.


Inurnment will be at the Naval Academy Columbarium in Annapolis, Md., on Monday 7 May at 1330.
