October Poem From Our Class Poet, Dick Raymond

               FOLLOW THE BOWSPRIT!
                   A Reminder for October

As Orion starts his march across the sky,
The year is slowly drawing to its end--
We look back and remember, with a sigh,
Someone we lost, a classmate, or a friend.

Yet--profitless nostalgia seldom pays,
Better to scan for future pots of gold,
A not-unpleasant way to pass one's days,
Look forward, to what coming years may hold!
