Sad News

I received the following from Tann Lightsey.

Will,

Sadly I must announce to my classmates that I lost my beloved wife on September 30th.  Alice and I met on Mother's Day Youngster Year.  We immediately learned to care for each other and were married the day after graduation.  She was a wonderful Air Force wife and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She made many friends, with whom she maintained contact, during our 24 year Air Force career and since retirement.  We had 58 blessed years together.

She had a 29 year battle with thyroid cancer, having undergone two surgeries, radio-active iodine treatment, and five episodes of radiation treatment over the years.  In spite of all the treatment, she did well and we were to travel fairly extensively until about six months ago when her cancer metastasized to her bones.

She will be missed by her family and her many friends.
