May 2013 Poem

MAY BLOSSOMS

When Spring returns, and trees put forth bright flowers,
When dogwood gleams, and tulips lift their heads,
Azaleas blaze, and line the leafy bowers,
Iris arises from her winter beds.

Then Mids rejoice, a warmer sun is glowing,
Each golden morn brings out some new delight–
Firsties at first, for they know where they're going,
For peons, end of Plebe Year is in sight!
