On the base at NAS Jacksonville,Florida
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Gateway Inns and Suites and T'Bar, O'Club, Golf Course with Mulligans Café all walking distance.
EVENTS:
Tuesday 21 April 5-8 PM; Welcome Aboard Party on the T-Bar Deck on the St Johns River ($15 per person)
Wednesday 22 April; mid morning golf round for those playing; local tours for others; 6 PM Class Dinner Party in the O Club ($40 per person)
Thursday 23 April; Early round for golfers followed by Wrap Up luncheon, group picture for all attendees, deck at Golf Club ($15 per person). * Attendees staying over Thursday evening will be invited to Watson's home for cocktails then we will arrange a dinner reservation for a group dinner at a nearby restaurant for those interested.
NOTES:
For any Alums not holding DoD ID cards, let Tom Watson know soon and we can assist in gaining base access.
Lots of local excellent shopping, museums, St. Augustine, Amelia Island, Atlantic beaches for touring and sight seeing for any interested.
Pleasant weather expected (70-80 daytime, cooler in evening) relaxed fun and casual dress is the plan. Please pass this invite to other 54 Alums and their widows you think may enjoy this gathering.
WHAT TO DO:
1. Call Gateway Inns Jacksonville now at (904) 542-3138 or 3139 and make your reservations (use reservation reference number 31120804798) Rooms daily rates are $50 Standard Queen,$65 Standard Suite and $75 Executive Room. The Welcome Aboard Party in on the bottom floor of the Gateway Inn overlooking the River.
2. Contact Frank Caroccio ccaroccio@aol.com or (904) 221-8681and let him know which events you plan to attend and then send your check to him at his home address 12866 Greenmeadow Place, Jacksonville, FL 32246.
3. Those gents or ladies who plan to play golf in the 2 round SNOWBIRD XV event to win the PADDY Trophy, please contact Frank Caroccio and let him have your handicap (or best guess).
4. Good turn out anticipated but plenty of room now, so please sign up and encourage others to join us.
