Death of a Class Wife -Marie Hattie "Mimi" Petzrick - 19th Co,


Marie Hattie "Mimi" Petzrick, age 87, a longtime resident of Crownsville, died at her home on December 31, 2017 of natural causes. She was born in Baltimore on December 21, 1930 and graduated from Patterson Park High School. Mimi was extremely active in Boy Scouts of America, from Den Mother to Explorer Scout Advisor, and she was awarded the Silver Fawn Award by the Scouts. She was a founding member of Annapolis Evangelical Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School for over 40 years. A military wife (Navy) and homemaker, she enjoyed embroidery and reading. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchild and all of her Sunday School children. Mimi is survived by her husband, Paul Arthur Petzrick, whom she married June 6, 1954; her children, Paul Arthur "Kip" Petzrick, Jr. (Deborah) of Fairfax, VA, Ernest Paul Petzrick (Kelly) of Jacksonville, FL; Christina Ann Anderson (Steven) of Crownsville and Amy Suzanne Grollman (Thomas) of Crownsville; one sister, Karlos Lacey of Ocean Pines, MD; her grandchildren, Steven Anderson, Jr., Jennifer Anderson, Stephanie Barker, Taylor and Tracy Grollman, Paul Petzrick, Samantha Chinn, and Jessica and Joshua Petzrick; and one great granddaughter, Penelope Chinn. Visiting hours for family and friends will be on Tuesday, January 9 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hardesty Funeral Home, 12 Ridgely Avenue, Annapolis. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 10 at 10:30 AM at Annapolis Evangelical Lutheran Church, 38 W. Central Avenue, Edgewater, MD 21037. Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mimi's memory may be made to the above named church.
