Alumni Center Milestone Event
On 18 November, the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation broke ground at the site of the future Alumni Center. USNA and Alumni Association and Foundation leadership along with guests were invited to celebrate the phase transition from planning to construction for this state-of-the-art facility, the first in our history dedicated to the service and accomplishments of Naval Academy alumni, parents and friends. Check out this video of ADM Bob Natter ’67, USN (Ret.), chair of the Alumni Center Chairs Committee and Advisory Panel, who personally launched the demolition as honorary excavator operator. Visit our webpage for updates on construction progress and a link to a live camera that takes stills every 30 minutes. Alumni Association and Foundation staff expect to take occupancy at the Center in spring 2023.

Navy vs. Notre Dame Travel in 2023

Lost Ring Triggers Amazing Story of Connections
A hunting trip in Norway in 1993 led to the discovery of a Naval Academy ring belonging to 1stLt Henry Pilger ’70, USMC, who perished in a 1972 helicopter crash. This discovery and the desire to return the ring to the Pilger family launched a path of many twists and turns, dead ends and strange coincidences. The ring found its way to San Diego, where Pilger’s daughter Abigail Boretto lives. The story doesn’t end there, Boretto will meet the man who found the ring in Norway and will visit the crash site. SACC: Back in Person!
After two years of successful virtual events, it is time to get back to connecting with one another in person. The Service Academy Career Conference returns to in-person events beginning 24-25 February 2022 in Jacksonville, FL! We are looking forward to seeing candidates network, interview with recruiters, and take next steps in their careers. Fox Sports Hosts Veterans Day Show at USNA
On 7 November, FOX Sports continued the annual tradition of honoring those who have served our country with a two-hour “FOX NFL Sunday” pregame show from the U.S. Naval Academy. Special segments included a message from Brigade Commander MIDN Jackie Booker Jr. ’22 and U.S. Naval Academy Glee Club, a tribute to RADM Grace Hopper, USN (Ret.), and more. In the piece “Blood Brothers, Tom Rinaldi told the story of LT Brendan Looney ’04, USN, and 1stLt Travis Manion ’04, USMC, who lost their lives in combat.
